Prior Authorization Congressional Sign on Letter
The lead sponsors of the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act (H.R. 3173/S. 3018 in the 117th Congress) sent identical House and Senate sign-on letters to to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) urging the agency to finalize a proposed prior authorization reform rule (CMS-0057-P, Advancing Interoperability and Improving Prior Authorization Processes) that closely aligns with this legislation.

Mental Health Liaison Group Endorsement Letter– On April 5, 2022, the Mental Health Liaison Group (MHLG), a coalition of national organizations representing consumers, family members, mental health and substance use treatment providers, advocates, and payers committed to strengthening access to mental health care and substance use treatment, wrote to Members of Congress to support and endorse H.R. 3173/S.3018.
